COMMAND

/cast

Casts a spell or ability using the first matching option. Adjacent bracket groups are OR alternatives; semicolon-separated branches are checked in order.

Conditions separated by commas are ANDed within one group. Adjacent bracket groups are OR alternatives for one action. Semicolon-separated branches are checked in order, and [] is an unconditional fallback.

Parts of the syntax

condition groups
Optional adjacent bracket groups. Selectors and conditions are combined in each group; groups are alternatives for the same action.
branches
Optional semicolon-separated actions evaluated in order. The first matching branch is selected.
Spell name
The action name written after the optional conditions. A rank or variant can be written in parentheses, such as Frostbolt(Rank 1).

Try this syntax

Cast a spell
/cast Flash Heal

Casts Flash Heal using normal targeting.

Mouseover with normal-target fallback
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][] Flash Heal

Casts Flash Heal on a friendly, living mouseover unit, otherwise on the current target.

Ordered friendly and hostile branches
/cast [help] Heal; [harm] Damage; Utility

Casts Heal on a friendly target, Damage on a hostile one, and Utility otherwise.

Modifier and target priority
/cast [@focus,mod:alt,harm][@mouseover,harm][] Interrupt

Casts Interrupt on a hostile focus while Alt is held, else on a hostile mouseover unit, else normally.

  • Casting is a protected action: it requires a hardware key or click, and a macro cannot delay or repeat casts.
